Two lady IT officers allegedly complicit in NDTV tax fraud and money laundering case, charged Mr. Sanjay Shrivastava, the officer who detected NDTV scam with sexual assault soon after he raised a query against NDTV.
One of the two lady officers, namely, Ms Shumona Sen is wife of ex NDTV journalist, Mr Abhisar Sharma.
There was no written complaint but for some weird reason, losing no time, the then FM Chidambaram suspended Shrivastava in 2007 without a complaint and no chargesheet. Poor chap had to go to court to obtain his chargesheet.
He was absolved of all charges by Vishakha commitee, departmental enquiry and later by High Court and Supreme Court. All charges were proved to be false.
Sanjay Shrivastava remained suspended for years essentially for doing a job he was paid for, for daring to stand up to what’s believed to be Chidambaram-NDTV nexus.
The scam involved thousands of crores, says Shrivastava. Big bad money often behaves like the mafia. A retired IT officer even claimed he had information that one of the 3 officers (most likely Shrivastava) who uncovered NDTV scam/tax fraud may be murdered.
Strong arm tactic didn’t stop with false charges, the lobby allegedly working to cover up NDTV scam tried to declare 1987 batch IT officer Sanjay Shrivastava insane. They also obtained a false report.
What kind of person would file false charges of sexual assault or molestation? I guess the kind who may be complicit in mega financial crimes NDTV is believed to have staged.
Supporters of #MeToo should take a stand on this and thus strengthen the credibility of genuine cases of sexual harassment.
